“Open Your Eyes #3” Mixed Media Canvas Panel

This is a mixed media piece titled “Open Your Eyes #3”.

I smeared black block printing ink on the canvas panel.

Then, I carved the design of the 3 eyes out a rubber block, added ink to the surface, and printed it onto the canvas by hand.

I hand-lettered the words “OPEN YOUR EYES” at the bottom of the canvas with a red marker.

Finally, I used the marker’s hard, fine tip to smear the block print’s black ink in certain areas.

This piece measures 5” x 7”.
